John M. Clayton is fortunate to have a satellite classroom from the
Howard T. Ennis School. This Least Restrictive Environment (LRE)
classroom provides the opportunity for students with severe mental
and/or physical handicaps to enter into academic and social settings
with John M. Clayton students. These students attend regular classes and
specials such as art, PE & music with their regular education
peers. The LRE students also complete life-skill tasks within the school,
such as counting and sorting parent letters and popping popcorn for the
PTO’s monthly movie night. We are proud to have them as a part of our
school community.
